RIO DE JANEIRO SECURITY INCIDENTS – 1ST BULLETIN OF OCTOBER

A report released on Thursday (06/10) by the Security Observatories Network points out that Rio de Janeiro’s police forces were responsible for 306 deaths between August 2021 and July 2022. The number is higher than the 281 deaths recorded jointly in other six states analyzed – Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Pernambuco, Piauí and São Paulo. The report brings the results of a study carried out for the third consecutive year with the aim of increasing knowledge about violence and public safety.
