01/11/2024 – A businessman was kidnapped and robbed by four bandits, on Friday night (01/11), when he was entering his vehicle, in Lagoa de Imboassica. The criminals stole gold jewelry valued at R$ 100,000 and then freed the victim on the Green Line, at the height of Trevo das Bandeiras. After an investigation by the Civil Police, two criminals were arrested.

04/11/2024 – On Monday afternoon (04/11), civil police officers from the 123rd Precinct arrested a 30-year-old man in the Glória neighborhood, accused of threatening, insulting, and stalking his ex-partner. The victim went to the police station to report the intimidation and verbal aggression she had been receiving. According to the report, the suspect would have created a fake profile on a social network to send threatening and offensive messages to the woman.
06/11/2024 – In an operation on Wednesday afternoon (06/11), agents on patrol received a tip informing about a suspected drug trafficker in the Nova Holanda neighborhood. Upon noticing the police presence, the suspect tried to flee and broke into a nearby residence where he hid the drugs.
06/11/2024 – A 48-year-old man assaulted his ex-wife with whom he had a 15-year relationship, in the Granja dos Cavaleiros neighborhood, on Wednesday morning (06/11). According to her, the accused, in addition to the aggressions, would have uttered death threats and stolen the cell phone in retaliation for the end of the relationship. The man was arrested in flagrante delicto based on the Maria da Penha Law.
08/11/2024 – Military police officers from the 32nd BPM carried out an operation on Friday morning (08/11) that resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of drugs in a forest area located on W9 Avenue, in the Lagomar neighborhood. Inside a backpack, bottles of poppers, a lot of cocaine, and marijuana were seized.
12/11/2024 – A 22-year-old man was the victim of an attempted murder on Tuesday afternoon (12/11) on Benedito Alves Ribeiro Street, in Fronteira. According to the police, the motivation for the crime would be a disagreement related to a former girlfriend of the shooter, 32, who would currently be in a relationship with the victim. According to information, the suspect fled to Campos dos Goytacazes.
12/11/2024 – On Tuesday afternoon (12/11), an action coordinated by the 123rd DP resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old man, accused of receiving and tampering with vehicle identification. The suspect was detained in the Cancela Preta neighborhood while driving a car stolen in July in Rio de Janeiro.
12/11/2024 – An operation by the 32nd BPM, launched in the Nova Holanda neighborhood on Tuesday (12/11), after an anonymous tip, resulted in the seizure of a vast arsenal of narcotics and equipment used for the sale of drugs. During the search, the police found a large amount of marijuana and cocaine conditioned for resale, and 2 kg of cocaine.
13/11/2024 – A 28-year-old man failed to comply with a protective order and broke into his ex-wife’s house, physically assaulting her, on Wednesday (13/11), in the community of Malvinas. According to the victim’s report, he did not accept the end of the marriage and had already stabbed her during her pregnancy. The suspect was arrested.
20/11/2024 – A couple, 18 years old and 17, was shot dead on Chico Mendes Street, in the São Marcos neighborhood, on Wednesday (20/11). The man’s family reported that the young man was involved in drug trafficking and had recently returned to the city to pay off a debt. No suspects were arrested.
21/11/2024 – On Thursday night (21/11), civil police officers from the 123rd DP arrested, on Alfredo Backer Street, in the Center, a 32-year-old man, accused of homicide. The crime occurred on 7 October, when a man, from a rival faction, was shot dead in the city center.
22/11/2024 – In a quick action, military police arrested a man and seized a cloned vehicle on Friday afternoon (22/11), on RJ-106, in the Fronteira region. The car had fled from the Federal Highway Police (PRF) in Campos dos Goytacazes earlier. After the escape, the PRF reported to the PM, which began the search for the vehicle.
26/11/2024 – Federal police officers served an arrest warrant on Tuesday (26/11) against a 43-year-old man, accused of rape of a vulnerable person. The fugitive was located and arrested in the Imboassica neighborhood.
27/11/2024 – Agents of the 123rd Precinct arrested four individuals on Wednesday night (27/11), in the Cajueiros neighborhood. The action dismantled a point of sale of narcotics controlled by the criminal faction Amigo Dos Amigos (ADA). During the operation, agents caught the suspects selling drugs, and seized narcotics and money.

- After dark, avoid walking alone in Praia Campista and Cavaleiros.
- Avoid Lagomar, Barra de Macaé, Engenho da Praia, Planalto da Ajuda, Ajuda de Cima, Ajuda de Baixo, Morro de Santana and Morro de São Jorge (in Paraíso), Fronteira, Jardim Maringá, Barra, Nova Holanda, Malvinas, Botafogo, Aroeira, Parque Aeroporto and the surroundings of Favela da Linha (in between Visconde de Araújo and Cajueiros), as risks of collateral damage and assault are high in these areas.
- As much as possible, restrict movement in the districts of Novo Horizonte (in Vale Encantado) and Parque Aeroporto. Do not walk alone in these areas and use only licensed taxis.
- Be careful when walking downtown, avoid exposing valuables.
- Be always cautious, including in areas perceived as safe.
- Avoid any display of wealth (jewelry, cell phones), but always carry a small amount of money (R$50) to hand.
