21/08/2026 – On Friday (21), Military Police officers seized approximately 27 kilograms of amphetamine during an operation targeting an unauthorized baile funk street party on Caminho São Sebastião, in the Rádio Clube neighborhood. Acting on past reports of illicit drug activity in the area, Tactical Force units searched the event grounds and discovered the narcotics buried inside a plastic drum hidden within a stable. Officers confiscated the illicit shipment and registered the case at the 7th Police District; no arrests were made at the scene.

23/08/2026 – On Sunday (23), a fetus was found next to a trash can on Oswaldo Cruz Street in the Boqueirão neighborhood. The discovery was made during the early morning hours by an unhoused man, prompting a local shopkeeper to alert the Military Police, who cordoned off the area for forensic analysis. Investigators checked nearby surveillance cameras and local hospitals but have not yet identified who abandoned the body. The case was formally registered as a suspicious death.
25/08/2026 – On Tuesday (25), police uncovered a drug trafficking and money laundering operation linked to a criminal faction during a search warrant execution in the Aparecida neighborhood. Inside the suspect’s residence, officers discovered cocaine, foreign currency, mobile phones, a vehicle, and detailed notes outlining chemical compounds used to prepare and conceal narcotics. Following the search, civil police officers arrested the 48-year-old suspect on an outstanding warrant and charged him in flagrante with drug trafficking.
