04/09/2026 – On Friday (4), officers from the 3rd Police District executed a search warrant at a residence on Rua Otávio Correia in the Estuário neighborhood, targeting a serial commercial burglary suspect. Investigation into multiple break-ins led police to the 30-year-old suspect with prior commercial theft records from 2015, 2019, and 2020. During the search, officers seized 62 pieces of clothing, a sweater matching security footage, a mobile phone, and nine grams of cocaine; police took the suspect to the 3rd Police District, where he was formally indicted before being released due to the lack of a flagrant arrest.

05/09/2026 – On Saturday (5), Military Police officers apprehended a 42-year-old fugitive during a routine patrol on Rua Amador Bueno, in downtown Santos. Agents intercepted the individual after observing him attempt to conceal his face upon noticing the approaching police unit. A system background check revealed an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Specialized Court for Domestic and Family Violence Against Women for bodily injury.
07/09/2026 – On Monday (7), Military Police officers responded to reports of gunshots fired inside a commercial establishment in downtown Santos. During a search of the premises, officers inspected a vehicle parked inside the business and discovered a .38-caliber revolver with five intact rounds hidden under the front seat, along with an additional 28 rounds, seizing 33 rounds of ammunition in total. Police arrested a suspect at the scene and transferred him to the Central Police Judiciary (CPJ), where he remains in custody at the disposal of the courts.
09/09/2026 – On Wednesday (9), Civil Police launched “Operation Bogotá”, executing 11 search-and-seizure warrants and one temporary arrest warrant across the São Paulo State to break up a transnational loan sharking and money laundering syndicate run by Colombian nationals. The organization moved R$ 52.5 million through high-interest informal loans enforced through threats and violence. During the raid, officers in Santos arrested a suspect who had previously stalked and photographed a local judge and his family in intimidation efforts after the magistrate issued asset-freezing orders against the cartel. This action builds on an ongoing investigation begun in May 2026 targeting 41 operatives, including financial branch members in Campinas and two high-level fugitives recently captured in Colombia via Interpol Red Notices.
