14/10/2026 – On Wednesday afternoon (14), an environmental military police team apprehended a man with an outstanding arrest warrant for domestic violence as he waited in the ferry line at Ponta da Praia. The suspect was located just seven minutes after a license plate reading camera connected to the Municipal Operational Control Center (CCO) and the state’s Muralha Paulista system flagged his vehicle at 12:37 PM. Following the approach, the man was escorted to the local police district.

15/10/2026 – On Thursday afternoon (15), a man was arrested after attempting to steal a woman’s wedding ring on Rua da Liberdade in the Aparecida neighborhood. The victim was approached by two men who threatened her and took the jewelry; one of the suspects was restrained by the local population and nearly assaulted before off-duty civil police officers intervened, while his accomplice managed to escape with the ring. The detained man received medical attention at the East Zone Emergency Care Unit (UPA) before being booked for robbery at the police station.
20/10/2026 – On Tuesday afternoon (20), two men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested after stealing an iPhone 17 Pro Max from a 19-year-old woman at a bus stop in the Center of Santos. Surveillance cameras from the Operational Control Center (CCO) captured the duo riding the same bicycle, passing the victim, and snatching the phone. Aided by the municipal monitoring system, Military Police located the two suspects and detained them at the Central Judicial Police (CPJ), where the mother of one of the young men later arrived to return the stolen device to the victim. A third suspect remains at large.
24/10/2026 – On Saturday morning (24), a 30-year-old environmental engineer, Marcelo de Oliveira Rocha, suffered brain death after being brutally beaten near Avenida Conselheiro Nébias. Rocha was participating in a political act around 3:00 AM when he stepped away to use the restroom and did not return; friends subsequently found him unconscious at the corner of Rua Henrique Ablas. He was rushed to the Santa Casa de Santos by SAMU and placed in the ICU in critical condition before brain death was confirmed; authorities have not yet identified the attackers or confirmed whether the motive was political intimidation or homophobia, as suggested by the group he was with.
