13/01/2024 – A 20-year-old former soldier was shot dead during a police intervention in Vila dos Criadores, Alemoa, West Santos. The officers went into a favela after a man informed them of being the victim of a “crime court” and gave information about a drug-selling point. The citizens said the police entered the area shooting without being threatened and the veteran received a bullet in the throat and another in the shoulder. A friend of his also was severely injured by two bullets in the leg and had a cardio-respiratory arrest. The investigation is in progress.

14/01/2024 – A criminal escaped from the police during his transfer to custody trial in the Centre of Santos. The man fled while the police vehicle was parking and is now a fugitive. Internal affairs are following the investigations.
15/01/2024 – Illegal medication distribution and storage central has been dismantled during a police operation in Santos. Anti-drugs precinct fulfilled a search and seized warrant in 4 spots of the city and found various medications such as psychoactive substances or pills for veterinary use. Some of the products were out of date and were potentially lethal. The police arrested 11 suspects for criminal association, drug trafficking, and health product falsification.
