According to data released by the Health Secretaries National Council (Conass) and the Health Ministry, during the 172th (16 to 22 April) epidemiological week, the number of new Covid-19 confirmed cases in Brazil decreased by 14.15% when compared to the 171st (09 to 15 April) week. In terms of deaths of patients with Covid-19, a 30.94% increase was registered while compared to the 171st week.
According to the latest information released by the Brazilian Health Minitry webpage, on Tuesday (02/05) at 00h36, 166 million second doses, and 5,049 single doses have been given. The results represents a total of people fully vaccinated or 80.70% of its total population. Brazil has approximately 212 million citizens, according to IBGE. Worldwide, data from 22 April indicates that 64.34% (5,13 billion) of people are fully vaccinated. Below, the graph with Brazil and other nations.
