According to media sources, the First Capital Command (PCC) banned from its drug sale locations the K drugs. This synthetic drug has a devastating effect that includes paralysis of the body and disconnection from reality. Paranoia combined with tachycardia are some of the effects. The person may even suffer a “blackout”, temporary paralysis, and not recognize friends and relatives. Users end up attracting the attention of authorities, which is undesired for the continuity of business.

Drop in Apprehensions
The consequences of this decision are already seen in the seizures made by Police in São Paulo, the PCC’s main market. Previously, K9 and K2 were found in 30% of operations. Today, that number has dropped to 10%.
The PCC’s Reasons for Banning K Drugs
The intention would be not to harm the trafficking of other drugs, the faction’s main source of income. The decision was taken after PCC leaders realized that the exaggerated use of K2 and K9 by young people who trade in these smoke shops, attracted the presence of the police.
When a guy consumes this in places dominated by the faction, he can fall and hit his head, and get sick and this leads to public authorities going there, like police and ambulances. This attracts a lot of attention and problems. If the user goes there to buy drugs and sees police and rescue, he takes a step back and stops buying or looks elsewhere.
Bruno Paes Manso, researcher at the Center for Violence Studies, at the University of São Paulo (USP), states that the PCC also banned the use of crack in prisons in the early 2000s and that all the faction’s decisions are planned as if in a company.
What Are K Drugs
K drugs emerged from an experiment in the 1990s to try to synthetically produce therapeutic substances from marijuana. Experts point out that these varieties of synthetic cannabinoids are a group of new drugs that have gained an important space in the global illicit market. More than 300 different types have been identified by police around the world.
Where K Drugs Are Produced According to experts, the K drugs consumed in Brazil are mainly produced in India and China. The concentrated liquid is easily exported to Brazil, in bottles. Upon arrival in Brazil, this substance is diluted and mixed with other substances before being sold.
