01/02/2026 – On Sunday (1st), a lawyer was stabbed three times in the neck while sleeping after hosting a young man for drinks at his home in Santa Rita do Bracuí. The attack was witnessed by a relative who rushed the victim to the hospital in serious condition. The 18-year-old perpetrator fled the scene but was arrested by Civil Police less than two hours later as he arrived home with blood still on his clothes.

03/02/2026 – On Tuesday (3), a 33-year-old man was arrested, and a 36-year-old woman was indicted during “Operation Fake Pen”. The couple was caught selling weight-loss medications without technical training or Anvisa authorization, storing syringes and pills in a domestic refrigerator alongside food. According to the Civil Police, the substances were sourced from other states for illegal distribution. While the man remains in custody, the woman was released to await trial after stating that the products were handled via a delivery service.
