16/06/2024 – On Sunday (16), the Military Police from the 4th Environmental Policing Unit (Juatinga) went to Santa Rita do Bracuí, where they identified slope cutting and deforestation. According to the authorities, when they arrived, they found an area of around 200 square meters, demarcated with wires, where there was evidence of soil movement from slope cuts and the deforestation of five small, medium, and large trees, without a license plate. However, the perpetrators could not be found.

18/06/2024 – Following information about drug trafficking forwarded by the Angra Hotline, police in Angra dos Reis carried out an operation on Tuesday (18) in Morro da Glória I. There, they arrested the local drug trafficking manager and four other people and seized a large quantity of narcotics. According to the police, 200 cocaine capsules, 114 marijuana tablets, 28 marijuana strips, 28 crack rocks, and three cell phones were seized.
19/06/2024 – More than 2,000 cocaine pins were seized on Wednesday morning (19) in a joint operation by the Civil and Military Police to serve an arrest warrant in Angra dos Reis. According to the PM, the drugs were found in an apartment located in the Banqueta neighborhood. Along with the 2,082 cocaine pins, an identification document of the suspect, a 38-year-old man, was found.
20/06/2024 – Civil police officers carried out Operation Rael at dawn on Thursday (20). The objective was to dismantle a gang specialized in internet scams, such as extortion and embezzlement through false kidnapping, as well as money laundering through precious stone trading companies. In Angra, a search and seizure warrant was served at the home of a lawyer. A preventive arrest warrant was also served at the home of Júlio Gabriel Melo da Silva de Souza, also known as “Menor do Pix”.
20/06/2024 – On Thursday (20), police officers from the P-2 Reserved Service of the 33rd BPM carried out an intelligence operation in Sapinhatuba I, where they managed to arrest the favela’s leader, Bernardo Gomes da Silva, alias “Simba”. He had already been on the Wanted Portal, of the Disque Denunciation, since April 2020. According to the P-2 team that carried out the arrest, the trafficker was found in possession of a pistol, ammunition, and a radio communicator. According to intelligence gathering, Simba is from the Terceiro Comando Puro (TCP) and is the current head of the drug trade in the Sapinhatuba I locality.
