20/05/2025 – Between 20 and 26 May, the Civil Police of Angra dos Reis arrested six individuals as part of the ongoing “Operação Cerco Total,” aimed at tackling multiple forms of criminality in the city. Four of the suspects had outstanding arrest warrants, while two others were caught in the act on Monday (26/05). One man was arrested in Morro da Fortaleza with drugs, a radio, a fake rifle, and a ballistic vest cover. In Morro da Glória, a 16-year-old girl was apprehended with a backpack containing marijuana, cocaine, and crack.

22/05/2025 – On Thursday (22/05), an arrest was made following a court order for the sexual assault of a vulnerable minor. The accused, a father, is suspected of abusing his 6-year-old daughter during his visits. The facts came to light after the mother reported the acts.
25/05/2025 – On Sunday (25/05), at Praia do Anil, two brothers were violently attacked with wooden sticks by a group of youths after an altercation in a bar; one of them was hospitalized, and the alleged leader of the group was arrested for attempted double homicide, while three other assailants remain at large.
27/05/2025 – On Tuesday (27/05), police officers from the 166th Precinct arrested two suspects during an operation in Parque Mambucaba as part of the ongoing “Operação Cerco Total”. One of them was identified as the third-ranking member of the local drug trade affiliated with the Third Pure Command (TCP). He attempted to flee but was caught with cocaine and a radio transmitter. The second suspect was caught with marijuana after trying to escape.
