21/09/2024 – On Saturday (21), the candidate for mayor of the PL (Liberal Party – Right), his candidate for vice, and his entourage, which included candidates for councilors, were attacked by gunfire in Morro do Santo Antônio, in the Center. They were campaigning, as recommended by Brazilian electoral legislation, but were prevented from going up the hill by local drug traffickers who belong to the Red Command (CV).

26/09/2024 – Two men were arrested red-handed for the crime of embezzlement at the end of the night of Thursday (26), in the Parque das Palmeiras neighborhood. The criminals were caught applying the fake Pix scam to a merchant in Japuíba, who delivers pizza and hamburgers.
