24/09/2025 – On Wednesday (24/09), the Federal Police launched an operation to dismantle an illegal firearms sales network in the Costa Verde region of Rio de Janeiro, focusing on Angra dos Reis and Paraty. Acting on an anonymous tip, investigators identified weapons being sold without legal documentation. During the action, officers executed a search warrant at a suspect’s residence in Paraty, seizing a firearm and a cellphone.

25/09/2025 – On Thursday (25/09), police intelligence officers (P2) arrested a fugitive from Espírito Santo who had been hiding in the neighborhood of Frade. He had been convicted of drug trafficking in the municipality of Ibatiba and was wanted by the state’s judiciary. The man was taken to the 166th Police Precinct and remains at the disposal of the courts.
25/09/2025 – On Thursday (25/09), police intelligence officers (P2) arrested the drug trafficker responsible for managing operations in the Banqueta neighborhood. He had three arrest warrants pending against him: two for bodily injury and torture, and one for drug trafficking and criminal association. The man was accused of shooting two women in the hands in November 2023, after they were caught stealing liquor and beer, in what police described as a “criminal court” punishment. During the arrest, officers seized drugs and a radio transmitter.
