21/07/2026 – On the late afternoon of Tuesday (21), police officers in Vila do Abraão, Ilha Grande, arrested a 37-year-old wanted man using municipal facial recognition cameras under “Operação Olhos de Águia”. The fugitive was wanted under a preventive arrest warrant stemming from an April 2026 incident where he brutally assaulted a man who intervened when he was verbally harassing a woman on Praia do Canto, leaving the victim hospitalized. The joint operation between the 166th Police District and the 33rd Military Police Battalion successfully located and detained the suspect at the local station.

24/07/2026 – On Friday morning (24), undercover officers from the 33rd Military Police Battalion arrested two men for drug trafficking on Praia Vermelha, in Ilha Grande. Following reports of drug activity in the Comando Vermelho-influenced area, officers monitored the suspects, pursued them into an abandoned building, and seized marijuana, cocaine, cell phones, and a replica Glock pistol retrieved from a nearby residence.
28/07/2026 – On Tuesday (28), Civil Police arrested a man on Praia do Anil in central Angra dos Reis after his ex-partner reported receiving serious death threats and verbal abuse from him three days earlier. Following the victim’s report at the local police station regarding the July 25 incident, officers promptly located and detained the suspect. He was booked at the Angra dos Reis Police District, where he remains in custody facing charges of threat and insult.
