27/01/2023 – A French-Swiss tourist was attacked and threatened by traffickers in Morro da Caixa D’Água. According to the police, the man was on vacation in Brazil and decided to paraglide – a sport similar to skydiving. When he arrived at the destination, the tourist parked his car and walked to the track to analyze the jump conditions. It was at that moment when he was approached by three criminals, two of whom were armed. The man tried to flee down a staircase but was reached and assaulted with punches and rifle butts.
03/01/2023 – Military police (PM) clashed with criminals from the Sapinhatuba II neighborhood. In the shooting, a man was shot, rescued by the PM, and taken to the hospital, with him, a gun was seized. According to information from the PM, the confrontation began after officers were shot at by the criminals.
