The Angra dos Reis City Hall is finalizing, together with the State Government, the process for the implementation of a Police Battalion in Tourist Areas (BPTur) and a Tourist Information Center (CIT), at the city entrance. The forecast for delivery of the equipment is October. The integration between the public security policy and the public policy of receptivity to tourists, through the integration between the BPTur and the CIT, at the entrance to the city, will bring significant results for the quality of visitation, said André Pimenta, Secretary of Planning.
01/06/2023 – A criminal involved in drug trafficking was shot during a shooting with Military Police (PM) on Rua dos Cajueiros, in Morro do Perez. The Military Police went to the address to make a routine round. Upon arriving at the scene, officers were met with gunfire by two armed men and fought back. After the shooting ended, the criminals fled through streets close to the confrontation. Still according to the PM, a gun and drugs were seized at the crime scene.
02/06/2023 – A passenger in a car that provided transportation services via an app was arrested by the Federal Police (PF) after being caught transporting 7 kg of cocaine on BR-101 (Rio-Santos), in Angra dos Reis. The drug was divided into several packets. According to the PF, investigations indicate that the woman took the narcotics in Complexo do Alemão, in Rio de Janeiro.
