18/02/2023 – A Military Police captain died after being shot during an operation on Morro da Glória I. According to the Military Police, the police officer was shot in the leg while participating in an operation to remove monitoring cameras installed by drug dealers.
23/02/2023 – A 35-year-old man was found decapitated in an advanced state of decomposition on Rua Prefeito João Gregório Galindo, in the Japuíba neighborhood. According to the Military Police, employees of a company were camping in a wooded area when they saw the victim. Officers went to the scene and confirmed the information. Still according to the PM, the body had knife punctures and the man’s head was found inside a backpack that was close by.
25/02/2023 – A military police officer died in a shooting with criminals involved in drug trafficking in the Bracuí neighborhood. Another police officer was shot. According to the Civil Police, the military was on patrol when they gave a stop order to a motorcycle, which fled. During the pursuit, the officers were attacked by gunfire.
