On Friday (26/08), Angra dos Reis city hall inaugurated in Praia Grande de Araçatiba, in Ilha Grande, a police station that will be integrated into the State Program for Integration in Security (Proeis). At least two military police officers will be on site daily, also reinforcing the security of the surrounding beaches. The station has also an ATV for short trips.
31/08/2022 – Two military police officers were arrested for extorting money from a man.They are part of the Environmental Police Command (CPam) and approached the victim in a bar next to a vacant lot in the Bracuí neighborhood. At the establishment, an officer from the 5th Military Judiciary Police Station caught the PMs demanding R$ 2,000, which were paid via PIX. According to information from the Military Police, the pair charged values for people to prepare land and then build irregular constructions.
