01/05/2025 – On Wednesday night (1st) a homeless man was shot and killed on Avenida Duque de Caxias, in the Marco neighborhood. According to social media reports, the incident began when he allegedly tried to break into a local business. The store owner called the Military Police, and witnesses say the man attacked officers with a piece of wood. Police then opened fire, killing him at the scene. The Civil Police are investigating the case, and forensic examinations and witness statements have been requested.

02/05/2025 – On Friday (2), a suspect was killed during a police operation in Bonfim, in the Mosqueiro district, after being located by Military Police. He was believed to be involved in the murder of a military police corporal, who had been fatally shot the previous day inside a pharmacy in Ananindeua. According to authorities, the suspect attempted to flee and was armed when confronted. No officers were injured. The suspect had a criminal record, including illegal firearm possession. The case remains under investigation, and no further arrests have been made.

02/05/2025 – On Friday (2), a man was shot and killed in the Guamá neighborhood. According to residents, two individuals on a motorcycle approached the victim on Rua Ezeriel Mônico de Matos and shot him approximately five times in the head. The victim was riding a bicycle and appeared unaware he was being followed. He died at the scene. The suspects fled before police arrived. Authorities are investigating the motivation, and the main hypothesis raised by the victim’s family is that he may have been mistakenly targeted due to a relative’s recent release from prison.

03/05/2025 – On Saturday (3), a couple was found dead inside a car in the Castanheira neighborhood, with bullet marks in their bodies. According to initial reports, the victims were partially undressed when they were approached by the suspect, who argued with them before opening fire. Authorities suspect a crime of passion. Military Police attempted to locate the suspect at his workplace but were unsuccessful. An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the crime.

03/05/2025 – On Saturday (3), a 74-year-old man was shot and killed in Parque Verde, near Alameda 30 de Agosto. According to authorities, the suspect is a retired civil police officer who was arrested at the scene and confessed to the shooting. The victim was reportedly shot following an argument, allegedly related to a gambling dispute. Despite being taken to a hospital by emergency services, the victim did not survive. The case was registered at the Marambaia Urban Precinct, and the suspect will face charges of intentional homicide.

05/05/2025 – On Monday night (5), military police seized an AK-47 rifle and 159 rounds of ammunition during an operation on Rua 9 de Janeiro in the Bengui neighborhood. Acting on a tip about armed individuals allegedly planning attacks against law enforcement, officers from the 24th Battalion searched for a house reportedly used for drug storage. Inside, they found the weapon, ammunition, and magazines after hearing a noise and discovering someone had fled through the roof. Personal documents were also recovered from a vehicle on the property. The case was registered at the Marambaia Precinct, and the suspect remains unidentified.

06/05/2025 – On Tuesday (6), a man was preventively arrested in the Pedreira neighborhood of Belém, suspected of fraud involving false promises to sell and deliver vehicles. The arrest was carried out by the Consumer Protection Division (DECON), under the Division of Special Operations (DIOE), following a warrant issued by the local criminal court. The investigation began after multiple victims reported being scammed. The suspect was transferred to the state prison authority and remains in custody.

09/05/2025 – On the morning of Friday (9), the municipal president of the Liberal Party (PL) in Belém and parliamentary aide to federal deputy Éder Mauro was shot during a reported attempted robbery in the Marambaia neighborhood. The victim, who is also the brother of a city councilor, was hit three times — in the chest, hand, and rib area. Surveillance footage shows him walking to the hospital, where he remains under medical care. Police are investigating the incident.

10/05/2025 – On Saturday morning (10), an investigator from the civil police was shot and killed in what appears to have been a targeted execution in the Guamá neighborhood. The victim was attacked near Travessa Augusto Corrêa after dropping someone off at a commercial property. Surveillance footage showed two individuals arriving on a motorcycle; one approached the victim and fired multiple shots, even after he raised his hands in surrender. Nothing was stolen, reinforcing the hypothesis of a planned killing. The suspects fled, abandoning a stolen motorcycle later found with a damaged chain. Investigations are ongoing.

15/05/2025 – On Thursday (15), a man was killed in a shootout with civil police in the Maracacuera neighborhood. He was suspected of being the motorcycle driver in the murder of a police investigator on 10 May in Guamá. He was the third suspect to die in confrontations with police since the crime. According to authorities, all three were linked to a criminal faction. The man opened fire during the police operation and died from his injuries.

15/05/2025 – A man was shot dead while riding a motorcycle on the morning of Thursday (15), in the Sacramenta neighborhood. According to police, two unidentified men on another motorcycle approached and fired multiple shots. The victim died at the scene. Relatives stated he had no criminal record. The case is under investigation, with security footage and witness statements being collected.

16/05/2025 – A group of seven suspects was arrested just hours after breaking into and looting a store in the Tapanã neighborhood during the early hours of Friday (16). The criminals stole items including air conditioners and televisions, but mechanical issues during their escape led to their quick capture by Military and Civil Police. One of the suspects attempted to rescue others using a motorcycle. The stolen goods were recovered.

19/05/2025 – A personal trainer and a military police officer were killed on the evening of Monday (19), in front of a gym on Senador Lemos Avenue, in the Sacramenta neighborhood. Surveillance footage shows the officer, masked and on a motorcycle, approaching the trainer as he was leaving work. After a brief altercation, the officer opened fire. The victim died inside his car. Moments later, an armed passerby witnessed the attack and shot the officer dead. Police are investigating the connection between the two men and the motive behind the crime.

19/05/2025 – On Monday (19), in Outeiro, a woman suffered third-degree burns after her partner doused her with a flammable liquid and set her on fire during an argument. The attack occurred as she tried to retrieve her belongings from their home, following threats from the man. The victim was hospitalized, and the assault was reported by a social worker. After a police investigation, the suspect was located and arrested.

21/05/2025 – On Wednesday (21), in the district of Icoaraci, a prisoner attempted to escape by jumping out of a moving prison bus while being transported to a court hearing. A passerby captured footage of a correctional officer sprinting after the fugitive, who took advantage of the vehicle slowing down to flee. He was recaptured minutes later. The Pará State Secretariat for Prison Administration (SEAP) confirmed the incident and stated that its Internal Affairs Department has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the escape attempt.

21/05/2025 – A man was shot in a suspected attempted homicide in front of a post office on Avenida Senador Lemos, in the Sacramenta neighborhood, on Wednesday (21). The victim was approached by an unidentified shooter who opened fire. Emergency services responded, and the victim was taken to a hospital alive. His current condition has not been disclosed. The case is under investigation by the Civil Police.

22/05/2025 – On Thursday (22), the Pará Civil Police launched Operation “Muralha Estadual,” the largest in the state’s history, which resulted in 223 arrests across Pará and other states. According to Governor Helder Barbalho, over 1,200 officers executed more than 300 court orders in a coordinated crackdown on crimes such as drug trafficking, robbery, and rape. Among the detainees were two leaders of a Rio-based criminal faction. In total, 23 kg of drugs, firearms, and criminal paraphernalia were seized. The operation, as reported by Diário do Pará, aims to dismantle both large and small-scale trafficking networks.

22/05/2025 – A possible case of rape at the Alcindo Cacela campus of Unama University in Belém, reported on Thursday (22), is under investigation by the Pará Civil Police. The incident, which reportedly involves two students, allegedly took place within the university premises, though the exact date remains undisclosed. The case is being handled confidentially by the Police Department for Child and Adolescent Care (Deaca). Unama confirmed it received the complaint and is cooperating with the authorities, stating its commitment to ethics, respect, and the safety of its academic community.

23/05/2025 – On Friday (23), the Pará Civil Police arrested the last remaining suspect from a gang that had been kidnapping and robbing app-based drivers in Belém. The suspect, who was apprehended under a temporary arrest warrant, confessed to direct involvement in the crimes. The investigation began in February after a driver reported being abducted during a ride, bound, and placed in his own car while the gang used the vehicle to commit further robberies. The operation, named “Muralha Estadual,” led to multiple arrests between May 16 and 21. The suspects face charges including armed robbery, attempted murder, and identity fraud.

Firefighters quickly contained the blaze, and the injured were taken for medical attention. Military police subdued the aggressor, who was taken into custody. 28/05/2025 – On Wednesday (28), a man was arrested in Icoaraci by the Women’s Protection Police Unit (DEAM) for threatening his partner, in a case falling under the Maria da Penha Law. The victim reported ongoing threats, physical assaults, and constant monitoring. According to her, the man had grabbed her by the neck and warned her he would pursue her if she went to the police. 29/05/2025 – On the night of Thursday (29), the Civil Police of Pará launched the second phase of Operation “Área Segura” in the Guamá neighborhood. Officers carried out large-scale patrols and inspections targeting criminal activity and irregular businesses. A fugitive with two outstanding arrest warrants for child rape was captured. The operation also led to the inspection of 25 establishments, with two being shut down for lacking operating licenses. Other police units focused on protecting vulnerable populations and investigating open warrants, reinforcing public safety through coordinated enforcement.

29/05/2025 – MMA champion Anderson Cleiton Alves de Souza was shot dead inside his home in the Telégrafo neighborhood early Thursday (29). According to police, several armed men broke into his house in the Beira Mar community and fired multiple times, killing him on the spot. His wife, who was present, was left in shock. Anderson had no criminal record and was known for his dedication to martial arts, holding several medals and a championship belt. The Homicide Division is investigating the case.

31/05/2025 – A car was stolen in seconds in the early hours of Saturday (31) on Passagem Euvira, in the Curió-Utinga neighborhood. The vehicle owner, who believes he accidentally left the key inside, reported the incident after security cameras captured the theft around 04:32. The Civil Police are investigating, using the footage to identify the suspect. The car had not been recovered.

31/05/2025 – An armed robbery was recorded on Travessa Benjamin Constant, in the Reduto neighborhood, on Saturday (31). Security footage shows a man threatening a driver in his car and stealing personal belongings. After the robbery, the suspect aggressively hits the car window with his weapon and, along with an accomplice, opens another door to steal more items. Screams of panic from inside the vehicle can be heard.
