On Tuesday (24/05), President Jair Bolsonaro appealed against Supreme Court (STF) Minister Dias Toffoli’s decision that rejected the request for an investigation against Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The request was presented by Bolsonaro on May 17th. According to the request, Moraes’ would have committed abuse of authority in decisions in the so-called fake news inquiry.
Another decision regarding the same case was announced on Thursday (26/05), when Republic General Attorney Augusto Aras dismissed the request by President Jair Bolsonaro to investigate STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes for alleged abuse of authority. Aras points out that a request with the same content was presented to the STF and that appeals are still pending judgment.
