On Wednesday (22/03), the Federal Police started an operation named ‘Sequaz’ against a First Capital Command (PCC) nucleus that intended to carry out attacks against public servants and authorities.

Among the actions, the criminals even intended homicides and extortion through kidnapping. The Minister of Justice and Public Security, Flávio Dino, informed that among the possible victims was Senator Sérgio Moro and prosecutor Lincoln Gakiya. According to the PF, the attacks were planned in five states: Rondônia, Paraná, Federal District, Mato Grosso do Sul and São Paulo.
In all, 24 search and seizure warrants, seven preventive arrest warrants and four temporary arrest warrants were executed against criminals and addresses located in Rondônia, Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, and Paraná. A motorcycle, bundles of money in a safe, watches, gold necklaces and a luxury car were seized.
The Targets
A member of the Special Action Group for the Repression of Organized Crime (Gaeco), in Presidente Prudente, São Paulo, prosecutor Lincoln Gakiya was one of the targets, according to the Federal Police. He was responsible for the transfer of organized crime big bosses, like Marcos Camacho, Marcola, to federal prisons and currently lives under escort and surveillance after a series of threats he suffered.
While senator Sérgio Moro, another target, was a judge in Operation Lava-Jato and Minister of Justice in the Jair Bolsonaro government.
