22/08/2023 – Three men were arrested for drug trafficking on Rua Margarida da Conceição Santos, in the Bela Vista neighborhood. According to the Military Police, officers received reports that criminals were selling drugs. With them, they found marijuana, cocaine, money and three cell phones.
23/08/2023 – A inspection operation carried out by Rio de Janeiro Department of Road Transport (Detro) resulted in the seizure of five vehicles that were illegally transporting passengers. One of the drivers presented a fake National Driver’s License (CNH), and he was arrested.
23/08/2023 – A joint operation by the Civil Police with the support of Enel – electricity company – resulted in the arrest of two people for electricity theft. The action was triggered after anonymous complaints. The properties were a snack bar on Estrada do Imburo, in the Ajuda de Cima neighborhood, and a car wash in the Lagomar neighborhood. Enel technicians monitored the operation and found that both establishments were directly connected to the energy company’s network, without the use of any measuring device. Those responsible for the sites were arrested.
