01/08/2025 – On Friday (01/08), the Civil Police of Macaé arrested a man accused of beating his 5-year-old autistic daughter. The child’s mother alerted the Child Protection Council after discovering bruises that contradicted the father’s claim of a fall. As new injuries kept appearing, the girl tearfully begged to leave her father’s house. The suspect was located in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood and was arrested in the act for the crime of torture.
05/08/2025 – On Tuesday night (05/08), military police arrested a man for drug trafficking in the Aroeira neighborhood. Officers from the 32nd BPM were patrolling the area when they heard someone shout “pancou” — understood as a lookout code — prompting them to focus on a man with a suspicious bulge under his jacket. Upon approach, they found 57 vials of cocaine and a cell phone.

10/08/2025 – On Sunday (10/08), civil police officers arrested a man in the Mirante da Lagoa neighborhood, caught in the act of sharing intimate images of his former partner. According to the investigation, he allegedly accessed the victim’s laptop without authorization, used WhatsApp Web to read private conversations, capture nude images, and send them to another man, acting out of jealousy. He is charged with sharing sexual content and unlawfully accessing an electronic device.
11/08/2025 – On Monday (11/08), officers from the 32nd BPM arrested a man for drug trafficking during a routine patrol in the Lagomar neighborhood. Upon noticing the police, the suspect threw a bag into a vacant lot and tried to flee. He was caught with R$106 in cash, and the discarded bag was later found to contain cocaine. The man was taken to the 123rd DP.
13/08/2025 – On Wednesday (13/08), Procon temporarily closed Ita Viagens e Turismo in downtown Macaé after over a dozen clients reported losses of about R$60,000 for July trips that never occurred. The agency ignored official notifications, shut its store, and became unreachable. It has 20 business days to resolve complaints before possible collective legal action and suspension of its Cadastur registration. A notice at the store invites affected consumers to file compensation claims.
13/08/2025 – On Wednesday (13/08), military police operations in the Lagomar neighborhood significantly disrupted local drug trafficking activities. In the first, officers responding to a tip detained a man in a vacant lot with cash and marijuana; a search of the area uncovered 169 vials of cocaine and 71 rocks of crack. In the second, acting on information about Red Command activity, police searched a wooded area and seized 1,020 packets of cocaine, three bricks of cocaine, one brick of marijuana, and a small block of hashish.
14/08/2025 – On Thursday (14/08), in the Favela da Linha, military police from the 32nd BPM detained four individuals during a patrol in an ADA-controlled area. They seized 52 vials of cocaine (104g), 167 stones of crack (167g), R$50 in cash, and a cell phone. Three adults were arrested, and one minor was taken into custody; all were placed at the disposal of judicial authorities.
19/08/2025 – On Tuesday (19/08), a fugitive wanted by the Minas Gerais justice system for drug trafficking was arrested in Macaé. The operation, coordinated by the local Civil Police, was supported by the Integrated Task Force to Combat Organized Crime (FICCO) units from Rio and Bahia. The man, identified as part of a drug trafficking organization, had been hiding in the North Fluminense region and was captured in the Glória neighborhood. He was taken into custody under a warrant issued by the 1st Criminal Court of Três Corações (MG) and will remain at the disposal of Minas Gerais authorities.
25/08/2025 – On Monday (25/08), two men linked to the Red Command (CV) criminal faction were arrested during a joint operation by the 32nd Military Police Battalion and officers from the 123rd Police Precinct. Acting on a tip about drug dealing on Rua W05 in the Lagomar neighborhood, police located and detained two suspects matching reported descriptions. During the search, officers seized cocaine, marijuana, and crack. Both suspects were taken to the precinct, where they remain in custody.
26/08/2025 – On Tuesday (26/08), Civil Police in Macaé arrested a man known as “Jamaica,” accused of committing a series of armed robberies across multiple neighborhoods. Investigators say he targeted victims in the mornings, threatening them with a firearm and stealing their cell phones before fleeing in a Chevrolet Astra. The crimes occurred on June 23 and 25 in areas including Glória, Linha Verde, Ajuda de Cima, and the Amaral Peixoto Highway. Acting on complaints, police executed a temporary arrest warrant issued by the 2nd Criminal Court of Macaé, capturing him in the Lagomar neighborhood. At the station, he attempted to escape and was additionally charged with resistance and contempt.
28/08/2025 – On Thursday (28/08), Military Police officers arrested a man with drugs in Parque Aeroporto. During a patrol, two suspects fled upon noticing the police car, but one was captured after a tactical maneuver. He was found carrying cocaine and marijuana. The case was registered at the 123rd Police Precinct, where the suspect remained in custody and the drugs were seized.

- After dark, avoid walking alone in Praia Campista, Cavaleiros, Glória and the central area.

- When going to and leaving Vale Encantado, never walk, call a licensed taxi, or use a company-approved ride-sharing App.
