10/02/2023 – A man considered a fugitive from justice was arrested by the Military Police in the Nova Holanda community. According to the police, officers were carrying out diligences in the region when they came across a man already known to be a member of a criminal faction. He was approached and, upon being questioned, confessed that he had escaped from the prison system.
17/02/2023 – A man considered a fugitive from justice for homicide was arrested at a residence on Avenida São José do Barreto, in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood. According to the Civil Police, the criminal had fled from Campos dos Goytacazes and was hiding in the city.
18/02/2023 – A 16-year-old youth died during the robbery of a motorcycle in the Ajuda de Baixo neighborhood. According to the Military Police, the boy was driving the vehicle when he was hit by a gunshot to the head. The criminals fled taking the motorcycle. He was rescued but succumbed to his injuries and died.
