Municipal guards from the GAOP unit intercepted the group on Atlântica Avenue after identifying them using “cheirinho de loló” (ether). Officers seized five vials and a bottle of the substance, and because the suspects resisted the approach, they were handcuffed and transported to the 123rd Police Precinct for formal processing.
05/01/2026 – On Monday (5), police from the 123rd DP arrested a man for the attempted murder and robbery of an 83-year-old woman. The suspect, who had previously worked as a furniture assembler for the victim, returned to her home on December 27, 2025, under the pretense of performing more work. Once inside, he strangled the victim, stuffed a cloth in her mouth, and beat her; believing she was dead, he stole her phone and a small safe before locking her inside. The woman was later found in critical condition by her daughter and rushed to a hospital.

05/01/2026 – On Monday (5), Macaé Municipal Guards arrested a man during an attempted theft at the Professor José Augusto Abreu Aguiar Municipal School (EMEI) in the city center. 06/01/2026 – On Tuesday afternoon (6), Military Police seized nearly 1 kg of cocaine in the Granja dos Cavaleiros neighborhood following an anonymous tip. Officers acting on reports of local drug trafficking discovered a backpack containing 245 plastic tubes of the drug, totaling 946.1 grams. No arrests were reported at the scene during the operation.
06/01/2026 – On Tuesday afternoon (6), a joint operation between the Civil Police and the “Segurança Presente” program resulted in the arrest of four adults and the detention of one teenager in Macaé’s “Favela da Linha”. 12/01/2026 – On Monday (12), Civil Police arrested a man in the Lagomar neighborhood for stalking and making death threats against his partner. The victim reported that the suspect’s aggressive behavior began on Friday, January 9, and included multiple intimidating visits to her workplace. Following a new series of text messages in which the man threatened to kill her, the woman sought police assistance, leading to a rapid operation that resulted in the suspect being caught and charged in flagrante.
13/01/2026 – On Tuesday (13), the Civil Police arrested a man in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood for making death threats against his partner. The intervention was triggered after the victim presented threatening messages to the authorities and reported a history of aggressive behavior and property damage at her home. The individual, who had been in a relationship with the victim for two and a half years, was taken into custody.
21/01/2026 – On Wednesday (21), a man with a criminal record of 35 offenses was arrested in Barra de Macaé during a Civil Police joint operation. Most of his previous crimes, primarily drug trafficking and theft, were registered in the municipality of Porciúncula. The arrest was made to fulfill a warrant from the Court of Criminal Executions following the unification of multiple sentences into a single definitive prison term.

Upon his arrest, the individual—who had recently been released from prison and has a prior criminal record—confessed to working as a “vapor” (street-level dealer) for a local criminal faction.
27/01/2026 – On Tuesday morning (27), Military Police officers seized drugs and recovered a stolen motorcycle in the Nova Holanda neighborhood. Acting on a tip about two fugitives, agents located a stolen Yamaha Lander and apprehended a suspect carrying 61 portions of marijuana, 15 of Skank, cocaine, and radio equipment. The suspect, who already had a criminal record for drug trafficking, was taken to the 123rd DP along with the seized materials.

- When going to and leaving Vale Encantado, never walk, call a licensed taxi, or use a company-approved ride-sharing App.
