21/07/2026 – On Tuesday (21), the Civil Police recovered a cloned vehicle in the Ajuda neighborhood and arrested a man for receiving stolen property and tampering with vehicle identification markers. Driven by intelligence from the Robbery and Theft Sector, officers tracked down the car, a stolen VW Virtus disguised as a VW Nivus with cloned license plates, which had been originally reported stolen in Rio de Janeiro on July 9, 2025. The suspect was taken to the 123rd DP and booked in flagrante.
24/07/2026 – On Friday (24), a woman accused of transporting a shipment of ether inhalants (lança-perfume) from Rio de Janeiro to Macaé for the Comando Vermelho (CV) was arrested by Civil Police officers. Following an investigation showing she acted under the orders of an incarcerated gang manager based in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood.
28/07/2026 – On Tuesday (28), a fugitive wanted for unpaid child support was identified and arrested at the Latiff Mussi Exhibition Park, in the São José do Barreto neighborhood, during the Expo Macaé 2026. The city’s facial recognition monitoring system triggered a real-time alert that led State Integration Security Program (PROEIS) officers directly to the suspect.
30/07/2026 – A suspect affiliated with the Amigos dos Amigos (ADA) criminal faction was taken into custody following an armed confrontation on Thursday afternoon (30), in the Malvinas community. Responding to intelligence reports, Civil Police officers from the 123rd Police District alongside Military Police units were targeted by gunfire upon entry, prompting an intense exchange of shots before agents subdued and arrested the armed suspect. Officers seized two handguns (one with an erased serial number and an extended magazine) alongside ammunition, communication radios, and a motorcycle, as authorities continue investigations to dismantle drug trafficking networks in the area.
