05/06/2023 – Civil Police arrested a man wanted for rape of vulnerable, kidnapping, and false imprisonment in the downtown Macaé. Against the 37-year-old criminal, there was an arrest warrant for a crime that happened on 29 May when the 17-year-old victim was taken from Praça da Estação, in the Visconde de Araújo neighborhood, to an abandoned house on Morro de Santana, where she was forced to have sex with the accused.
06/06/2023 – Two men died, and four others were arrested after a Military Police operation on an island on the banks of the Macaé River, between the Malvinas and Nova Holanda communities. A large amount of drugs was also seized. According to the corporation, the action was triggered based on precise information about the meeting of members linked to a criminal faction. The police were met with gunfire and fought back. One of the teams also went to Rua 8 in the Nova Holanda community to verify information about an abandoned residence that was being used to store narcotics and ammunition. At the scene, a large quantity of ammunition of different calibers were seized, in addition to a pistol charger.
