RIO DE JANEIRO SECURITY INCIDENTS – DECEMBER MONTHLY BULLETIN

A survey carried out by the Crossfire Institute pointed out that in 2024, four children died and 21 were injured, in addition to 34 teenagers shot, with 16 dead and 18 injured. The state recorded a small reduction in the numbers, compared to last year. In 2023, 66 children and adolescents were shot, 31 of whom died. A year later, this number was reduced by 16%, to 55 children and adolescents shot, with 19 dead.
