According to the São Paulo Public Ministry (MP-SP), the Santos Port would be used by the First Capital Command (PCC to send 60% of all the cocaine shipments sent from Brazil to Europe. MP estimated that four tons of drugs are shipped every month but only 10% of the shipment is seized by the authorities. The Institution also said the criminals use car exportations and ship hulls to hide the drugs.

06/04/2024 – A 19-year-old woman narrowly escaped from a kidnapping attempt in São Jorge, West Santos. She was returning from her workplace when a man got out of a parked car and pretended to ask an information but then tried to throw her inside a vehicle. The police are investigating.
07/04/2024 – A group of supporters of Santos FC caused trouble in Gonzaga, South Santos. The mess was caused by the defeat of the local football club in the finals of the SP championship. This led the Police to close part of the street to disperse the agitated crowd and reroute the public transport.
07/04/2024 – A suspect involved in the murder of a detective in 2022 is arrested in Valongo, North Santos. According to the Corporation, a patrol noticed a man with a suspect attitude as he tried to hide from the officers. He is suspected of participating in the murder of the head of the Service of Identification of the Civil Police of Santos, who was assassinated with more than 30 shots.
10/04/2024 – An off-duty police officer saved an elderly man from being robbed in Marapé, South Santos. According to the Corporation, two bandits tried to rob the marriage ring of a 65-year-old woman when the off-duty officer intervened. When one of the criminals pointed his gun at the officer, the latter shot and hit the criminal.
