13/08/2026 – Two men, aged 25 and 28, were arrested on Thursday (13), for running an extortion scheme targeting fans near the Vila Belmiro stadium during a Santos FC match. Officers from the 2nd Police District caught one of the illegal parking attendants demanding R$ 100 from a driver while threatening to destroy the vehicle if the amount was not paid. The investigation revealed that the illegal fees were split with an access controller who attempted to flee before being detained, as well as coordinated through Pix transfers to organizers of the scheme.

14/08/2026 – A 62-year-old street food vendor was stabbed to death following an argument inside an apartment on Rua Dr. Manoel Victorino, in the Gonzaga neighborhood on Friday (14). The two men had locked themselves in a bedroom, where the victim suffered multiple fatal knife wounds before emergency services arrived. Responding to reports of a mental health crisis, military police discovered the victim’s body and immediately arrested the 26-year-old suspect at the scene, who was found in an altered psychological state.
14/08/2026 – A 15-year-old teenager was apprehended on Friday (14) after police discovered approximately 100 GB of child sexual abuse material at his home in the Vila Mathias neighborhood. The Civil Police investigation, initiated following reports from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), revealed that the minor was selling the illicit material on Discord, promoting rape, leaking private data, and maintaining ties with an extremist group called “Genocídio”. Authorities seized his electronic devices and financial tracking records before releasing him to his family under a legal commitment to present him to the Youth and Infancy Prosecutor’s Office.
17/08/2026 – A 69-year-old taxi driver was attacked and slashed in the face with a pocketknife by a passenger attempting to rob him on Monday (17), inside the Rubens Ferreira Martins tunnel, in the Morro Fontana neighborhood. The victim fought back and managed to disarm the assailant by tossing the blade out the window before signaling nearby Municipal Guards for help at the tunnel exit. Tracked via surveillance cameras as he fled on foot, the 32-year-old suspect, found carrying illegal drugs, was quickly located and arrested in flagrante.
18/08/2026 – On Tuesday (18), law enforcement agencies seized 702 kg of cocaine hidden inside a coffee shipment at the Port of Santos. A joint operation involving the Federal Police, Federal Revenue Service, and the Santos Civil Police targeted the container bound for Istanbul, Turkey, following intelligence leads. Revenue Service sniffer dogs detected the narcotics packed among the coffee cargo, prompting federal authorities to launch a formal investigation to identify the international drug trafficking network responsible.
19/08/2026 – An elderly man fell victim to a violent robbery near a shopping center in the Aparecida neighborhood, on Wednesday (19). Posing as candy vendors while lurking on the building’s steps, four individuals monitored the victim before surrounding him as he exited and forcefully snatching his gold chain. Alerted by the shopping center’s surveillance system, security guards quickly identified two of the suspects, aged 14 and 17, allowing Civil Police to locate and arrest them in flagrante.
