A wave of break-ins and thefts has caused insecurity, fear, and disruption for business owners in downtown Santos. In addition, the attacks are causing millions in losses, as is the case of a nightclub that lost more than R$300,000 in equipment to criminals. Some of the facilities attacked are located at Avenida Visconde de São Leopoldo and Rua José Ricardo, among others.

15/01/2025 – A 46-year-old truck driver was robbed at gunpoint by two men on a motorcycle while loading and unloading products for the Fort Atacadista market, on Avenida Doutor Haroldo de Camargo, in the Areia Branca neighborhood, in the Northwest Zone of Santos. The truck driver had two cell phones stolen, as well as personal documents and the vehicle. The incident occurred at 06h00 on Wednesday (15).
17/01/2025 – A 36-year-old man stole items from two stores located on Rua João Pessoa, in downtown Santos, a region that has been affected by this type of crime. The incident took place on the morning of last Tuesday (14). He was later arrested.
18/01/2025 – A 20-year-old man stole a ride-sharing driver’s car and was chased by a Military Police (PM) vehicle, in Santa Maria neighborhood, in the Northwest Zone of Santos. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday (18/01). The criminal was later arrested.
18/01/2025 – Two men robbed a store in Santos. They were later arrested in Praça Palmares, Macuco neighborhood.
