25/12/2022 – Two men were arrested for thefts in Vila Mathias. The arrests took place when they were caught by the cameras of the Operational Control Center (CCO) invading the Integrated Activities Center (Cais), in Vila Mathias. After a search, approximately 60 meters of copper wire, three faucets and a whip (power conductor) from a minibus were found in their bag.
25/12/2022 – A thief was arrested when patrolling guards saw him fleeing on foot after pulling a gold chain from around a man’s neck, in Vila Mathias.
26/12/2022 – A shooting on Morro São Bento left one man injured. He was on a motorcycle with another criminal, who was arrested, after an approach by the Military Police (PM). According to the PM, officers were accompanying a motorcycle with suspicious men on Rua São Roque. When the police went to approach, the criminals abandoned the motorcycle and one of them would have shot at the officers, who fought back.
28/12/2022 – Police officers from the 2nd Battalion of Special Police Actions (Baep) arrested six people in an operation in Morro do São Bento. During the action on Rua Santa Valéria, officers saw several individuals with backpacks, guns in their hands, bags and radio communicators entering a residence. When the team approached a gate, some men who were on top of a slab fired at the police, who retaliated. Other teams carried out the siege at the site and found the six criminals, who were hiding in three different houses of residents, who were forced to let them in. A gun and a large amount of drugs were also located.
