03/02/2022 – A 29-year-old man was arrested for attempted robbery in José Bonifácio Square, downtown Santos. As reported by the São Paulo State Secretariat for Public Security (SSP), military police officers were called to attend to the incident and, upon arriving at the scene, stated that they saw that the suspect had been assaulted and detained by people after trying to steal his cell phone.
06/02/2023 – A 73-year-old woman was thrown to the ground during a robbery on Rua Alexandre Martins, in the Aparecida neighborhood. Images show the action of the criminal. Armed, he approaches the victim and forcefully pulls the bracelet from her arm. The woman falls and the assailant flees on a bicycle. Civil Police investigate the case.
06/02/2023 – The Revenue Service and the Federal Police found and seized 53 kg of cocaine in the Port of Santos. The drug was in a refrigerated container bound for Saudi Arabia in the Middle East. According to the police, the drug was hidden in a container loaded with 26 tons of frozen orange juice. A detection dog helped to find the illicit cargo.
