The state government of São Paulo opened, on Thursday (24/11), the first police station specialized in investigating document and biometric fraud, in the Luz neighborhood, downtown São Paulo.
For now, according to the Secretariat of Public Security, it will investigate crimes that occurred in the capital of São Paulo. Created by means of a decree, dated 21 June this year, the police station intends to clarify crimes in which documents, such as ID and CPF, are defrauded by criminals.
For the executive secretary of the Civil Police, as technology advances, criminals seek tools to defraud the system, so it is important to have a police station for these crimes. Subordinated to the Civil Police Intelligence Department, the police station is already functioning.
