30/08/2024 – A 42-year-old woman was the victim of femicide inside the “New Parks Motel”, on the Jaraguá Tourist Road, north of the capital, on Friday night (30). The victim’s body was found inside the bathtub of one of the rooms by employees. During the patrol, security agents arrested a 46-year-old man. He confessed to being the perpetrator of the crime and stated that he killed the woman after a disagreement between them.

31/08/2024 – Street vendors on Rua Cavalheiro, in Brás, were injured on Saturday afternoon (31) during an approach by the Military Police in an operation against illegal trade. Images recorded by cell phones by people who were at the scene show the police with batons and collecting products. A woman who would be among the street vendors appears injured and with a bloody head. In the confrontation, three military police officers were injured.
03/09/2024 – A task force of the Federal Police (PF) and the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) carried out an operation on Tuesday (3) against civil police officers in São Paulo investigated on suspicion of corruption and money laundering. According to the authorities, Civil Police agents even charged R$ 800,000 in bribes from drug traffickers not to investigate them in November 2020. In all, the Justice decreed the preventive arrests of four involved in the criminal scheme. Two Civil Police investigators were arrested by authorities in São Paulo, in the capital, and Arujá, in the metropolitan region.
03/09/2024 – On Tuesday (3), the Civil Police arrested a 27-year-old man suspected of enticing people, known as “mules”, to take drugs to countries in Europe and Asia. He would be responsible for lodging in Vila Sônia, in the south of São Paulo. At the time of the act, 22 people who were in the “shelter” were detained. The police had received information that the place was used as a temporary space for people who were preparing to swallow and transport cocaine.
05/09/2024 – Police officers from the State Department of Criminal Investigations (Deic) launched on Thursday (5) a mega operation against a criminal group that carried out millionaire scams through telephone exchanges and fake websites of city halls and ticket sales. The actions are being carried out in São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, and Santa Catarina. There are 28 search and seizure warrants served in these states. Investigations continue to find out if there is involvement of any criminal faction that invests in crime offices to launder money for organized crime.
