05/12/2025 – Four suspects invaded a residence in Moema, South Zone of São Paulo, on Friday evening (5), where they tied up and threatened an elderly couple during a robbery. Law enforcement (Força Tática) intervened, arresting three of the assailants. However, one of the suspects, an 18-year-old, was shot and killed by the agents despite being unarmed and having surrendered. Following the analysis of body camera footage, which revealed irregularities, three military police officers were arrested and incarcerated on Saturday (6).

06/12/2025 – The musician Rael was robbed at gunpoint by two criminals at the exit of the Parque Villa-Lobos parking lot in the West Zone of São Paulo on Saturday morning (6). The thieves stole his motorcycle, helmet, and cell phone in under 30 seconds. Thanks to a tracking device, the GCM recovered the motorcycle and the cell phone shortly after in Osasco.
07/12/2025 – Two armed criminals invaded the Biblioteca Mário de Andrade in Central São Paulo on Sunday morning (7) and stole 13 artworks. The thieves held hostages before stealing eight prints by Henri Matisse and five prints by Candido Portinari. The mayor reported that the suspects were identified by Smart Sampa cameras, and police are currently searching for the robbers who fled through the main exit.
07/12/2025 – Three masked and armed men robbed a security company in Capão Redondo, South Zone, on Sunday morning (7). The men rendered three security guards and used facial recognition access to steal a large arsenal. The thieves fled with 23 caliber .38 revolvers, 12 caliber 12 shotguns, and nearly 450 rounds of ammunition.
07/12/2025 – Operations at Congonhas Airport in São Paulo were temporarily suspended for over an hour on Sunday afternoon (7), due to kite activity near the runway. Airport teams collected 20 kites from the area and notified security authorities. The disruption resulted in the cancellation of two flights and the diversion of 12 other flights to alternate airports.
08/12/2025 – Police Bomb Squad was called to the UPA Vergueiro, in the Liberdade neighborhood, Central São Paulo, on Monday morning (8), after a suspicious object was found in a patient’s bag. The man, who later died, was taken to the UPA after injuring himself and another person with a knife at the Sé Metro Station. The GATE (Special Tactical Actions Group) investigated the object, which resembled an explosive device, but confirmed it was not a bomb.
08/12/2025 – Police arrested one of the two suspects involved in the armed robbery of 13 artworks from the Biblioteca Mário de Andrade, on Monday (8). The suspect (31), who has a prior criminal record, was apprehended in the Mooca neighborhood. The thieves were identified using Smart Sampa surveillance footage. The second suspect, along with the Matisse and Portinari prints, remains at large, and Interpol has been notified to block the transport of the artworks.
08/12/2025 – Five military police officers were injured when a house exploded in Vila Santo Antônio, North Zone, early Monday morning (8). The explosion occurred as agents forced entry to investigate a reported suicide attempt, with preliminary findings suggesting the gas was intentionally ignited to target the officers. Three officers remain in serious condition. A 26-year-old female resident was arrested in the act and charged with attempted murder and explosion in a dwelling.
09/12/2025 – A man, aged 40, was arrested on Tuesday (9), suspected of the femicide of his girlfriend, 25-year-old Maria Katiane Gomes da Silva, who died after falling from the 10th floor of a building in Jardim Taboão, South Zone, on November 29. Security videos captured the aggressions moments before the fall, showing the suspect aggressively hitting and struggling with the victim in the condominium’s parking lot and elevator. The suspect is being held under temporary arrest, and the case remains under investigation.
10/12/2025 – An operation led by the Public Ministry (Gaeco), Civil Police Internal Affairs, and Federal Police arrested two Civil Police officers from DENARC (Narcotics Department) on Wednesday morning (10), in São Paulo. They are suspected of accepting a R$1 million bribe to halt an investigation into a PCC drug trafficker known as “Costurado.” The trafficker’s lawyer, who has a prior conviction for kidnapping, was also arrested.
10/12/2025 – The Civil Police of São Paulo launched “Operation Steel Sentinel” this Wednesday (10) to fulfill 26 arrest warrants against convicted and wanted individuals for vulnerable rape across the capital. The operation targets sexual abusers of children and adolescents, including serious cases such as a man sentenced to 85 years for abusing children in his own family and another for raping a 3-year-old child. So far, four people have been arrested, the majority of whom are wanted individuals with a history of domestic violence, some being fugitives from other states who came to hide in São Paulo.
10/12/2025 – The Federal Police (PF) launched an operation on Wednesday (10), to dismantle a criminal organization involved in sex trafficking, which recruited women in Brazil and transported them to Spain. Four individuals were arrested in the Brazilian states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, with two additional arrests made in Álava, Spain, with the support of Interpol. The investigation, conducted in cooperation with Spanish authorities, led to the earlier liberation of 33 women (28 Brazilians) and the judicial blocking of approximately R$40 million in assets obtained through human trafficking.
10/12/2025 – A Nigerian merchant was kidnapped in Guaianazes, East Zone, on Wednesday evening (10), by two compatriots. Held hostage in a hideout in Cidade Tiradentes, he was tortured with a hot iron for about 20 hours, while the kidnappers used a video call to demand that his sister in Nigeria sell a piece of land and transfer the money. The victim’s family contacted the Anti-Kidnapping Division (DAS), which managed to locate the hideout by tracing the calls, freeing the hostage, and arresting the two Nigerians for extortion through kidnapping and torture.
11/12/2025 – Confidential judicial data concerning adolescents and children from TJ-SP proceedings leaked onto public legal websites, according to a report on Wednesday morning (11), in São Paulo. The unprecedented leak exposed the names and infraction details of over 50 adolescents, causing layoffs and stigma. The TJ-SP denied system failure, claiming external collection, while the websites asserted, they only reproduced data erroneously made public. The Public Defender’s Office insisted the TJ-SP is accountable and that the victims have a right to civil reparations.
11/12/2025 – An employee of an Enel partner company was arrested in flagrante delicto for passive corruption this Thursday (11), after charging R$2,500 to reconnect power to an address in Vila Mariana, South Zone. The Deputy Mayor of Vila Mariana, approached the employee on Rua Estado de Israel, recording the dialogue in which he admitted to doing a “side job” charging the amount. The illegal charge occurred amidst a large blackout in the South Zone of São Paulo, caused by falling trees and strong winds, leaving many residents without power for over 24 hours.
