Data shows homicide rate in the Capital increased in February 2024 in comparison with 2022. São Paulo State’s statistics show a decrease in some rates, such as rapes (-10%), robberies, and homicides (-3.1%), and an increase of 45% in homicides after robbery (“latrocínio”), 6% in intentional bodily injury, and theft. In the Capital, the rates are a bit different. The rapes decreased by 16.3%, and robberies by 9.8%, while homicides increased by 32%.
