SÃO PAULO SECURITY INCIDENTS – 2ND BULLETIN OF AUGUST

The city of São Paulo recorded an increase in the number of pedestrian deaths in the first half of 2023. There were 149 pedestrian deaths in the São Paulo capital over the first half of 2023, against 143 in the same period last year. The increase is 4%, according to data from Infosiga, the state government’s database, and released this Tuesday (08/08). The data indicate an increase for the second consecutive year, after the 116 victims in the first six months of 2021 – when there was a limitation in social interaction due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
