SÃO PAULO SECURITY INCIDENTS – 1ST BULLETIN OF MARCH

In January, São Paulo recorded 19,115 thefts, this number is 17.7% higher than that recorded in the same period last year (2022) 16,231. That means a theft happens every two minutes. With regard to robberies, 11,794 cases were registered, almost 2% more than in the same period last year where 16,231 robberies were registered. That means an average of one robbery every four minutes. Downtown São Paulo contributes a lot to the escalation of these crimes, registering an increase of almost 50% in thefts.
