The Angra dos Reis Disque Denúncia received, throughout 2022, 908 anonymous complaints about various crimes in the city. The Bracuí neighborhood is highlighted in the list of most complaints about drug trafficking and environmental crime. The data was released on Saturday (07/01). Analysing the complaints geographically, the Bracuí neighborhood had the highest number of records (70), followed by Parque Mambucaba (60), Japuíba (43), Areal (41) and Ilha Grande (40) were the neighborhoods with the highest incidence of complaints. In addition to those already mentioned above, the 10 neighborhoods with the most complaints include also: Centro (38), Monsuaba (26), Frade (24), Nova Angra (22) and Belém (19). Regarding crimes, drug trafficking leads the complaints (337), followed by illicit possession of firearms (166), irregular construction (108), mistreatment of animals (89) and deforestation (60), but there were still several records on the location of fugitives from justice, obstruction of public roads, commercial establishment without a permit, location of clandestine TV and internet centers, scams, among others.

06/01/2023 – A man was shot dead on Estrada Angra Getulândia, in the Japuíba neighborhood. According to the Fire Department, the 25-year-old victim was already lifeless when they arrived at the scene. The Angra dos Reis police station is investigating the case.
10/01/2023 – A criminal was injured during a shooting between Military Police (PM) and criminals in Morro da Caixa’Água. With the man the PM seized a gun and drugs. According to the police, the team was making a routine patrol when they were shot at and fought back.
11/01/2023 – A man was shot dead on Rua 32 Travessa Esperança, in the Perequê neighborhood. The murder took place in broad daylight. A crowd heard the gunfire. According to the Military Police, the 45-year-old victim was already lifeless when help arrived at the scene.
