02/06/2025 – On Monday (2), a 55-year-old man was hit and dragged by a car in the Guamá neighborhood, in what police are investigating as an attempted homicide. Security footage shows the vehicle running over the victim and dragging him for several meters. The driver briefly stopped, reversed, then accelerated again before fleeing without providing assistance. The man was rescued by his sister and taken to the Guamá emergency unit with head injuries and abrasions but remained conscious. The suspect later turned himself in and took the car to the police station, where it was seized for forensic analysis.

05/06/2025 – On Wednesday (5), a woman wanted for international drug trafficking, money laundering, and involvement in a criminal organization was arrested by the Federal Police at Belém International Airport. She had a red notice issued by Interpol and was intercepted during a flight connection from Guarulhos to Macapá. Authorities found R$ 5,000 in cash and ten euros in her possession. She is suspected of recruiting drug mules and had previously traveled to France using this method. The arrest was carried out under a preventive warrant issued by the 11th Federal Court of Fortaleza.
05/06/2025 – On Thursday night (5), two armed criminals robbed a veterinary clinic in the Cabanagem neighborhood. Security cameras captured them entering the facility wearing caps and surgical masks, threatening staff, and demanding cash and valuables. One of the assailants forced a staff member to remove her lab coat and then wore it himself. The suspects collected cell phones, personal items, and forced employees to write down their device passwords. The case is being investigated by the Civil Police, with the support of surveillance footage.
05/06/2025 – On Thursday (5), the Pará Civil Police launched the second phase of Operation “Magnet Hands” targeting suspects involved in cellphone thefts at stadiums and large events in Belém. Thirteen search warrants were executed across the capital, Benevides, and Cametá, resulting in the seizure of 24 phones. Two were confirmed stolen, while the rest are under analysis. A cellphone store was identified as a resale point for the stolen devices, where counterfeit goods were also found. The operation follows a May crackdown that arrested 12 members of the organized theft group.
06/06/2025 – On Friday (6), a lawyer in Pará was sentenced to 34 years in prison for her involvement with the PCC criminal organization. Between 2019 and 2023, she served as a communication link under the alias “Justiceira” and received over R$ 100,000 from illicit activities. Evidence included handwritten criminal notes, payment spreadsheets, and bank records. Messages revealed she coordinated with other PCC members. She was convicted of organized crime, drug trafficking association, and receiving illicit assets.
08/06/2025 – A man was shot dead in the early hours of Sunday (8), in the Cabanagem neighborhood. According to initial reports, he was standing outside a property around 1:30 when two men on a motorcycle approached. The passenger opened fire. The victim died at the scene before emergency services arrived. The suspects fled, and police have opened an investigation to determine the motive and identify those involved.
09/06/2025 – On Monday (9), Brazil’s Armed Forces activated the “Comando Operacional Conjunto Marajoara” to oversee security during the COP 30 climate summit in Belém. Over 12,000 military personnel from the Army, Navy, and Air Force will operate from November 4 to 23. The mission includes air defense, anti-drone systems, cyber defense, and intelligence operations. Fluvial transport may be used to ease traffic, with the Navy supporting logistics. The command structure follows the Defense Ministry’s strategic security guidelines for international events.
10/06/2025 – On Tuesday (10), a Chinese man was arrested in Belém on charges of aggravated torture against his four underage children. According to police, he filmed the assaults (carried out with broomsticks, iron bars, and hangers) and sent the videos to his mother in China to demonstrate control over his family. The case began in January when he was caught threatening his wife with a knife. The investigation revealed repeated abuse, including humiliation and severe physical punishment. 11/06/2025 – A man was shot dead and left in front of a health unit in the Tapanã neighborhood of Belém on the night of Wednesday (11). Witnesses reported that the victim was forcibly taken from a residence by armed men and shot at least seven times. Videos shared on social media show the man alive after the shooting and later lying outside the health unit, possibly taken there by local residents. The suspects fled and have not yet been identified. The case is under investigation by the Civil Police.
16/06/2025 – A man was arrested on Monday morning (16), in the Castanheira neighborhood during an child pornography investigation. The operation, called “Íris,” involved search and seizure warrants and led to the confiscation of the suspect’s cellphone containing illicit material. Two other warrants were executed in Reduto, Belém, and Atalaia, Ananindeua, where additional devices were seized. The investigation, based on reports of suspects sharing child pornography via messaging apps like Telegram, was led by the DEACA Santa Casa with support from forensic experts. The arrested suspect was caught in the act and charged under Brazil’s Child and Adolescent Statute.
16/06/2025 – A couple was arrested on the night of Monday (16), in Belém during a roadside operation on Avenida Augusto Montenegro, near Conjunto Satélite. The joint operation, part of the Belém em Ordem program, involved the Municipal Guard (GMB), Segbel, and Military Police. The couple was stopped during a traffic checkpoint in the BRT lane, where agents found a large quantity of cocaine packaged for sale. Both individuals were taken to the police station on suspicion of drug trafficking. The operation aimed to combat crime and improve traffic safety across the capital.
17/06/2025 – A man was arrested on Tuesday morning (17), in Sacramenta neighborhood during Operation Muralha, which targets drug trafficking in the metropolitan area. The action was carried out by the Civil Police, with teams from the Sacramenta and Pedreira precincts executing three search and seizure warrants. During the search of one residence, officers found the suspect in possession of suspected oxi, a pressed marijuana tablet, four cell phones, and cash. He was arrested in the act and taken to the police station. Investigations continue to determine the source of the drugs.
21/06/2025 – A man damaged an ATM with a wooden stake on Saturday (21) after being denied a R$10,000 loan at a Caixa Econômica Federal branch on Avenida Pedro Álvares Cabral, in the Sacramenta neighborhood. Witnesses reported that the man became enraged following the loan refusal and destroyed part of the machine. Bystanders restrained him and called the Municipal Guard, who took him to the Federal Police Headquarters. Observers said the man showed signs of possible drug use. Caixa confirmed the branch reopened normally on Monday, June 23.
23/06/2025 – On Sunday (23), three armed men posing as federal police officers invaded a luxury building on Travessa João Balbi, in Nazaré. They presented a fake arrest warrant and seized all the video recorders (DVRs) from the premises. A resident’s car was reportedly broken into in the garage. No official reports of assault on residents were made, but the Civil Police are investigating. The suspects fled in a white Volkswagen Polo and remain at large.
23/06/2025 – Two young children, aged two and three, were rescued from abandonment in a small apartment in the Guamá neighborhood on Sunday (23). The case came to light when one child was seen trying to jump from a window, prompting neighbors to intervene. The children were found dirty, hungry, and alone in unsanitary conditions. The mother told police she had left them in the care of a babysitter and claimed to return at night to check on them. Authorities are working to identify and locate the caregiver, and the children have been placed in a safe environment. The case is under investigation by the Child and Adolescent Protection Division.
23/06/2025 – A 20-year-old man was arrested on Monday (23) in Praça Batista Campos, central Belém, suspected of committing armed robbery. Witnesses said he attempted to rob a young man, leading to a physical altercation that drew a crowd. The suspect was surrounded by locals and nearly lynched before being detained by the Municipal Guard. Officers from GMB seized four cellphones, a .38 caliber revolver, and ammunition.
26/06/2025 – On Thursday (26), the Civil Police launched Operation “Área Segura” in Terra Firme to combat crime in critical areas. The action targeted locations with high rates of robbery, homicide, and drug trafficking, based on reports and ongoing investigations. Sixty officers in 15 vehicles inspected 12 bars, and one person was taken to the station for drug use. The operation also focused on protecting vulnerable groups and verifying the legality of commercial establishments. 26/06/2025 – On Thursday (26), police in Belém arrested a nanny and trained nurse suspected of drugging an 11-month-old baby. Surveillance footage showed her forcing a pill—believed to be Quetiapine—into the infant’s throat to sedate him. The baby was hospitalized and underwent gastric lavage. The suspect, charged with attempted qualified homicide, had fled but was found hiding in Outeiro with syringes and psychiatric medication. Authorities are now investigating whether other children were also harmed.
27/06/2025 – A man was shot after taking a pharmacy employee hostage during an attempted robbery on Friday (27), in the Parque Verde neighborhood. The standoff lasted about three and a half hours and ended with the victim unharmed and the suspect wounded by police. According to authorities, the man, reportedly in a psychotic episode, used a box cutter to hold the employee and resisted arrest, prompting police to shoot him in the leg and arm. He was taken to the emergency hospital in Ananindeua.
