01/02/2026 – On Sunday (1st), a Military Police operation in the Favela da Linha community in Macaé resulted in the arrest of a man and a woman for drug trafficking. During a strategic entry by the Tactical Action Group (GAT), officers apprehended the man, who was carrying various narcotics and was discovered to have an active warrant for qualified homicide. The woman was detained after attempting to flee with drugs hidden in her clothing. In addition to the individual seizures, police recovered further quantities of marijuana, cocaine, and crack hidden throughout the area.
02/02/2026 – On Monday (2), Military Police from the 32nd BPM seized a quantity of drugs in the Alto dos Cajueiros neighborhood. Following an anonymous tip regarding drug trafficking on Jandira Perlingeiro Street, officers searched the area and discovered a bag containing 70 rocks of crack cocaine, 6 bags of marijuana, and 3 capsules of cocaine.

02/02/2026 – On Monday (2), an intelligence operation by the 32nd BPM led to the arrest of a man and the detention of a minor for drug trafficking in the Praia Campista neighborhood. After receiving an anonymous tip, undercover officers monitored the location and witnessed narcotics being sold. Upon intervention, the suspects unsuccessfully attempted to discard their supply. Police seized various drugs, cash, and a mobile phone, and the adults involved were charged with drug trafficking and criminal association.
03/02/2026 – On Tuesday (3), a joint operation inspected six scrap metal yards, leading to the suspension of five due to administrative, urban, and environmental irregularities. Only one establishment remained open, operating under a temporary permit valid until the end of the year. The task force, involving the Municipal Guard and the “Pronta Ação” program, aimed to verify operating licenses and the origin of materials to combat illegal trade.
04/02/2026 – On Wednesday (4), Civil Police officers arrested a man for drug trafficking in the Aroeira neighborhood. Following a monitoring operation, agents caught the suspect selling drugs on Joaquim Alberto de Brito Filho Street and discovered his stash on a nearby road. During the search, authorities seized 94 wraps of cocaine and 5 blocks of marijuana, leading to the suspect being charged in flagrante.
04/02/2026 – On Wednesday (4), military police arrested a man for drug trafficking in the Alto dos Cajueiros neighborhood. Following an anonymous tip, officers searched the Favela da Linha area and discovered a hidden bag in an abandoned lot containing 110 capsules of cocaine and 6 portions of marijuana, all packaged for sale. Upon processing the suspect at the station, authorities confirmed he already had a prior criminal record for the same offense.
07/02/2026 – On Saturday (7), the Military Police seized a 5.56 caliber rifle in the Nova Holanda community. Acting on an anonymous tip regarding a storage site for weaponry, officers conducted a detailed search that uncovered the rifle along with two magazines, 33 rounds of ammunition, and a large quantity of drugs packaged for sale.
08/02/2026 – On Sunday (8), the Military Police conducted an operation in the Alto dos Cajueiros neighborhood, resulting in the arrest of one man and the detention of two minors. Acting on tips regarding the “ADA” criminal faction, specialized units raided the Favela da Linha, where they seized over 1 kg of cocaine, 514 grams of marijuana, and various quantities of crack and cash. The suspects were intercepted on Rua Jandira Perlingeiro following reports of drug trafficking and the public brandishing of firearms.
10/02/2026 – On Tuesday (10), military police arrested a man and detained a minor for drug trafficking in the Favela da Linha. Acting on an anonymous tip, officers discovered the pair selling narcotics and recovered a stash buried nearby, totaling 126 tubes of cocaine, 231 rocks of crack, and several strips of marijuana. At the 123rd DP, investigators found that the adult suspect had a criminal record including robbery and domestic violence.
11/02/2026 – On Wednesday (11), Civil Police officers arrested a man in the Aroeira neighborhood following a series of anonymous tips regarding drug trafficking on Rua Alzemiro Rocha. The suspect was caught in the act of selling narcotics to a user and subsequently led officers to a storage location. In total, the police seized 180 bottles of poppers, 53 bags of cocaine, 22 portions of marijuana, and 4 radio communicators.
20/02/2026 – On Friday (20), Civil Police arrested a man for riding an altered motorcycle without a license plate in the Lagomar neighborhood. Officers intercepted the vehicle on Avenida W-05 after observing it traveling the wrong way, subsequently discovering that the engine and chassis numbers had been tampered with. The suspect claimed he purchased the bike locally for a below-market price, but investigators traced its original registration to Barão de Cocais, Minas Gerais.
21/02/2026 – On Saturday (21), intelligence officers from the 32nd BPM arrested a man for drug trafficking in the Parque Atlântico neighborhood. The suspect was caught using a bicycle to deliver drugs near the Aeroporto community and attempted to flee before being apprehended with marijuana and cash. He confessed to working for local traffickers for a month, earning R$ 150 per load sold.
21/02/2026 – On Saturday (21), a man was arrested in the Bela Vista neighborhood following a police pursuit through residential rooftops. The suspect attempted to escape by breaking into a property and climbing over nearby houses after being spotted selling drugs marked with the ADA criminal faction’s initials. Following a tactical perimeter search, officers captured him on Rua Prefeito Lobo Júnior with a bag of cocaine pins.
24/02/2026 – On Tuesday (24), Civil Police dismantled a drug trafficking hub in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood as part of the state-wide “Operation Espoliador”. One man was arrested after being caught selling drugs at the gate of a residence that served as a processing and packaging center. Inside the house, officers seized cocaine, marijuana, precision scales, and a stolen motorcycle.
25/02/2026 – On Wednesday (25), a woman was arrested in the Mirante da Lagoa neighborhood for the attempted murder of her partner. The arrest follows a 2023 incident in Parque Aeroporto where, after a domestic dispute over property damage, she stabbed the victim in the back and chest, causing a lung perforation.

- After dark, avoid walking alone in Praia Campista, Cavaleiros, Glória and the central area.
- As risks of collateral damage and assault are high in these areas due to gang presence,
- avoid: Lagomar, Barra de Macaé, Engenho da Praia, Planalto da Ajuda, Ajuda de Cima, Ajuda de Baixo, Morro de Santana, Morro de São Jorge (in Paraíso), Fronteira, Jardim Maringá, Barra, Nova Holanda, Malvinas, Botafogo, Aroeira, Parque Aeroporto, and the surroundings of Favela da Linha (in between Visconde de Araújo and Cajueiros).
- When going to and leaving Vale Encantado, never walk, call a licensed taxi, or use a company-approved ride-sharing App.
- In any situation, avoid waiting on the sidewalk. If you call a taxi, for instance, wait inside a building and only leave when the car arrives.
