27/03/2026 – On Friday morning (27), a Military Police operation in the Nova Holanda community led to a heavy shootout and the seizure of a military-grade 5.56 Colt rifle. The raid targeted ADA faction members who had fled from Quissamã, a Northern Macaé small town. One criminal, wanted for murder, was wounded, treated at the local public hospital, and subsequently arrested. In addition to the rifle, officers seized a Glock .40 pistol, ammunition, radios, a large quantity of drugs, and two cloned vehicles.

28/03/2026 – On Saturday night (28), a man was arrested at the Lagomar Bus Terminal for illegal possession of a restricted-use firearm. Acting on intelligence reports, Military Police intercepted a vehicle traveling from Carapebus and discovered a 9mm pistol hidden under the driver’s floor mat. The suspect, who already had a criminal record for similar offenses, confessed to possessing the weapon without authorization.
29/03/2026 – On Sunday night (29), a fugitive with five prior robbery convictions was arrested at downtown Macaé’s Central Terminal, thanks to the city’s intelligent video surveillance system. Facial recognition technology triggered an automatic alert, enabling the Secretariat of Mobility to track the bus the suspect had boarded using real-time GPS. Military Police officers intercepted the vehicle and executed the outstanding arrest warrant.
