04/04/2026 – On Saturday afternoon (4), the Military Police arrested a couple for drug trafficking in the Favela da Linha. Following an anonymous tip, GAT officers located the suspects and seized portions of cocaine, skank, and marijuana from them. A further search of a nearby lot revealed a larger cache of crack and other drugs already packaged for sale, along with cell phones and cash. The woman confessed to working as a seller for the local faction, and both were arrested in the act.
06/04/2026 – On Monday (6), Military Police arrested a 26-year-old man with an extensive criminal record during a patrol in the Alto dos Cajueiros neighborhood. The suspect, who has prior records for murder, drug trafficking, and torture in the context of domestic violence, was captured following a foot pursuit in the Favela da Linha. Officers seized 107 pins of cocaine, 62 portions of marijuana, 17 crack rocks, R$ 829 in cash, a cell phone, and a motorcycle from the suspect and the immediate area, leading to his arrest in the act.

07/04/2026 – A 13-year-old minor was detained for criminal association and drug trafficking this Tuesday (7), in the Nova Holanda neighborhood. The operation was launched by Military Police intelligence services, who reported armed individuals selling drugs in the community. During the intervention, officers discovered a handheld radio tuned to the local traffic frequency and a bag containing a .380 caliber pistol, ammunition, and significant quantities of cocaine and marijuana ready for sale.
11/04/2026 – On Saturday (11), a Military Police operation dismantled a logistics base linked to drug trafficking in the Lagomar neighborhood. Following an anonymous tip, officers discovered an improvised structure used as a hideout for criminals, along with cocaine supplies hidden in the nearby brush. In addition to the drugs already packaged for sale, police seized four motorcycles, one of which was reported stolen.
14/04/2026 – On Tuesday (14), two men were detained for drug trafficking and criminal association in the Lagomar neighborhood. Following a tip-off, Military Police set up a tactical perimeter, intercepting the suspects as they attempted to hide inside a commercial establishment. During the operation, officers seized quantities of cocaine, marijuana, and crack, along with a cell phone and cash. 16/04/2026 – On Thursday (16), an attorney was the victim of racist and physical aggression by a hotel manager while performing her professional duties. While executing a court order alongside colleagues, she was targeted with racial slurs by the manager and a resident. Although all parties were taken to the police station, the lawyer expressed her frustration after seeing her aggressor released that same evening.
17/04/2026 – On Friday (17), police arrested a Comando Vermelho member who was wanted under two warrants for torture and attempted execution. Located in the Jardim Franco neighborhood, the suspect was linked to violent assaults occurring in 2025 and 2026. At the time of his arrest, he was also caught in the act of riding a motorcycle with tampered identification plates.
19/04/2026 – On Sunday (19), two men were caught in the act and arrested in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood during a Civil Police operation. The suspects were surprised by officers while selling drugs at “Piche” Square on Durvalina Moura de Andrade Street. During the search, agents seized marijuana, cocaine, and an undisclosed amount of cash. Both individuals were taken into custody.
22/04/2026 – On Wednesday (22), a man was arrested with drugs and weapon replicas in the Botafogo neighborhood. He was caught by police following reports that criminals were using fake rifles to intimidate local residents and rivals. During the operation, officers seized cocaine, marijuana, cash, and three imitation firearms, including two rifle replicas and a shotgun replica.
27/04/2026 – On Monday (27), a Military Police operation in the Malvinas community led to the seizure of heavy weaponry and narcotics. Following an anonymous tip, officers came under fire, triggering a confrontation that left two suspects wounded. A third accomplice was identified after arriving at the hospital. Along with a large quantity of drugs, authorities seized a rifle, a pistol, ballistic vests, and tactical equipment.
27/04/2026 – On Monday (27), a man was arrested by Military Police in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood while at a drug sales point. During the operation, officers seized cocaine, crack, and cash. The suspect had an extensive criminal record, including prior charges for attempted aggravated homicide and illegal weapons possession.
29/04/2026 – On Wednesday (29), Macaé’s facial recognition system led to the capture of an individual wanted for criminal association related to drug trafficking. After the cameras triggered an alert, a Segurança Presente team quickly located the man in the city center. Officers confirmed the outstanding arrest warrant before taking him to the local police station.
29/04/2026 – On Wednesday (29), military police arrested a man accused of homicide who was driving a stolen car in the Ajuda de Cima neighborhood. The vehicle, with signs of cloning and tampering, was located on Imburo Road following anonymous tips. The driver was caught in the act.

- When going to and leaving Vale Encantado, never walk, call a licensed taxi, or use a company-approved ride-sharing App.
- In any situation, avoid waiting on the sidewalk. If you call a taxi, for instance, wait inside a building and only leave when the car arrives.
- Be always cautious, including in areas perceived as safe.
- Avoid any display of wealth (jewelry, cell phones), but always carry a small amount of money (R$50) to hand.
