24/05/2026 – On Sunday (24), a 31-year-old man was arrested for torturing his 10-year-old stepson in the Sol e Mar neighborhood. The Civil Police investigation revealed a brutal routine of abuse where the child was beaten with iron bars and wooden sticks, and in one extreme episode, locked inside a freezer. Backed by a preventative arrest warrant issued by Macaé’s Domestic Violence Court, officers successfully located and detained the suspect in the São José do Barreto neighborhood.

24/05/2026 – In the early hours of Sunday (24), a man was arrested red-handed after punching his partner in the face directly in front of the 123rd Police Precinct. The altercation began during a party at the Clube Fluminense, where the suspect publicly insulted and threatened the woman. Seeking protection, the victim walked toward the police station but was struck right outside the entrance, prompting on-duty officers to immediately intervene and detain the attacker.
26/05/2026 – On Tuesday night (26), the Military Police carried out an anti-drug trafficking operation in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood, resulting in the arrest of one adult suspect and the detention of a minor. During the raid, officers seized 38 capsules of cocaine, 40 units of skank, and bottles of poppers. Additionally, the police recovered a homemade grenade, ammunition, magazines, precision scales, and replicas of both a rifle and a pistol, dealing a significant blow to local organized crime.
27/05/2026 – On Wednesday (27), the newly opened Qualifica+Macaé professional training center in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood was forced to suspend classes due to a major theft. Criminals stripped the facility of its entire electrical wiring and the copper piping from the air conditioning units, leaving the building without power during its very first week of operations. Strongly condemned in the City Council, this act of vandalism has paralyzed the social project while emergency repairs are underway.
27/05/2026 – On Wednesday (27), military police officers from the 32nd BPM arrested a fugitive wanted for murder during a routine patrol in the Parque Aeroporto neighborhood. The suspect attempted to flee on a motorcycle upon noticing the police presence but was quickly intercepted and detained. While only cash and a cell phone were found in his possession, a background check revealed two active arrest warrants for murder issued by the Rio de Janeiro State Judiciary.
