25/08/2026 – A four-month-old baby girl passed away on Tuesday (25), at the Santa Casa de Santos hospital, two days after being admitted to intensive care with a skull fracture, brain hemorrhage, and older bruises. Medical experts quickly established that the severity of these injuries matched neither the initial claim of a fall from a stroller nor the second account given by the 20-year-old father, who was alone with her on Sunday (23), claiming he dropped her and shoved her to the ground. Faced with these contradictions, the young man was arrested in flagrante and charged with child abuse and domestic violence.

02/09/2026 – On Wednesday (2), local firefighters recovered the partially submerged body of an unidentified man from a canal on Avenida Campos Sales in the Vila Nova neighborhood. Responding to a call at 4:05 AM, emergency personnel extracted the victim, who was already exhibiting rigor mortis. The Civil Police registered the incident as a suspicious death at the Central de Polícia Judiciária (CPJ) of Santos and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances and cause of death.
