28/09/2026 – On Monday (28), industrial maintenance and assembly workers involved in an ongoing strike in the Campos Basin evaluated an employer proposal offering a 6.5% wage increase and an R$ 850 food voucher. Following a ruling by Judge Roque Lucarelli Dattoli that denied a petition to suspend the strike, the open-ended movement remains active while workers review the terms. With no immediate acceptance reported, the union (SINTPICC) and company representatives are scheduled for a conciliation hearing at the Regional Labor Court of the 1st Region (TRT-1) on Tuesday (29) to continue negotiations.

28/09/2026 – On Monday (28), a joint security operation titled “Operação Venator II”—conducted by the Federal Police alongside local Military (32nd BPM) and Civil (123rd DP) police—apprehended five fugitives across various neighborhoods in Macaé, Rio de Janeiro. The targets were wanted under preventive and definitive arrest warrants for offences including drug trafficking, robbery, and homicide; notably, the operation captured a suspect from Pará state who had been evading justice for 27 years over the fatal beating of a journalist in Belém in 2000. Following their arrest, all five individuals were processed at the 123rd Police Precinct before being transferred to the state prison system.
