Recently, three of the main presidential candidates of this year were confirmed during their parties’ conventions: Ciro Gomes, Lula, and Jair Bolsonaro.
On Wednesday (20/07), the Partido Democrático Trabalhista (PDT) approved at a national convention Ciro Gomes as a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic.
On Thursday morning (21/07), the Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT) and the Brasil da Esperança Party Federation – formed by PT, PC do B and PV – made official the candidacy of former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to the country’s presidency. Geraldo Alckmin was confirmed as his vice-president.
On Sunday (24/07), President Jair Bolsonaro was officially announced as a candidate for re-election. The event was held in Maracanãzinho, in Rio de Janeiro North Zone. General Walter Braga Netto was also confirmed as vice on the ticket.
