This intervention follows reports from female passengers denouncing vehicles driving with their internal lights off at night, a practice that increased their sense of vulnerability. Authorities have now notified the carrier to mandate that lights remain on during night shifts and are encouraging the public to report any further issues through official channels.

31/03/2026 – On Tuesday afternoon (31), Civil Police arrested two drug traffickers in the Campo Belo neighborhood, an area controlled by the Comando Vermelho (CV). The primary target, a 34-year-old man wearing an electronic ankle monitor with 18 prior criminal records, is identified as a high-risk operative from Manguinhos in Rio, where he served as an armed guard for the cartel. During the raid, part of Operation Kira, officers seized 321 pins of cocaine, 278 portions of marijuana, crack, and cash.
