09/10/2026 – On Friday (9), civil police officers from the Women’s Defense Police Precinct (DEAM) in Angra dos Reis arrested a man in the Vila Velha neighborhood for sexually abusing his daughter and stepdaughter. The investigation, led by Titular Delegate Paula Loureiro, revealed that the suspect systematically abused both girls when they were left alone at home, beginning when both victims were approximately 12 years old. Following specialized interviews with the underage daughter and the now-adult stepdaughter, the suspect was indicted for rape of a vulnerable person and apprehended without resistance under an arrest warrant issued by the municipality’s Domestic and Family Violence Court.

11/10/2026 – On Sunday (11), Military Police officers arrested five men in the Frade neighborhood of Angra dos Reis, in Rio’s Costa Verde region, suspected of participating in an inter-faction attack. The operation was launched following an intelligence investigation by the 33rd Military Police Battalion (33rd BPM) into a shootout between rival criminal groups that occurred on Friday (9) in Parque Mambucaba. Officers seized two assault rifles, magazines, ammunition, and narcotics during the action; all five suspects and the seized materials were taken to the 166th Police Precinct (166ª DP), where an investigation into each individual’s involvement in the faction conflict is underway.
12/10/2026 – On Monday (12), a motorcyclist was arrested in the Frade neighborhood of Angra dos Reis, in Rio’s Costa Verde region, for transporting narcotics hidden inside an egg carton on his motorcycle’s rear seat. Military Police officers on patrol grew suspicious of the egg carton and signaled the driver to pull over; the man exhibited nervousness and attempted to flee before being intercepted. Upon searching the container, officers discovered illicit drugs valued at approximately R$ 1,000, which the suspect admitted he was paid R$ 700 to transport from Mangaratiba to Paraty. The motorcyclist, his vehicle, and the seized narcotics were taken to the 166th Police Precinct (Angra dos Reis), where he remains in custody at the disposal of the judiciary.
